My book is called A Privileged Boyhood by Alexander McRobbie a wordy tome and the sentence is –
My Uncles, and to a lesser extent Grandma, were never very enthusiastic about my mother bringing her brood of young children with her to Ayr.

Sorry, I read children’s stories in French but he did win the Booker Prize for the third (and in my opinion least exciting) book of the trilogy.

I liked the Cosmic journey – puts things in perspective.
Re books; first I picked up Salman Rushdie and that was too boring for words and then ‘Solutions for Writers’ and that was too specialised – and just the one line didn’t make sense. I’m a hopeless case today.
