There is the feel of autumn in the air today and that always makes me want to get out in the garden so after my lazy weekend, I have gone mad today, it’s now 9.30am and I have replaced two tiles in the porch that had come off, De-frosted the chest freezer, re-potted the rocket, transplanted some strawberries, cleaned a couple of pots that I have finished with, tidied around the pond, cut back some trees before the leaves fall into the pond, weeded, harvested some potatoes for tea and took up all the cabbages because between the slugs, snails, ants and caterpillars there was not going to be a lot left. I shall freeze it. I have also put out two loads of washing; I have just stopped for a cuppa.

Back again, the lawn is mowed, tools are away, there’s an apple and rhubarb crumble in the oven, (fruit from the garden), house dusted and vacuumed, ironing done and put away, cabbage in the freezer, and I did all this with the help of the kitten and a very happy little robin, who has been singing his head off, or he could just have been telling me to get out of the way he wanted the worms I have been turning up, who can tell?
