Every now and then you need to step out of your comfort zone and do something different, I have in the past stepped out a few times* and as everyone is different stepping out means different things to different people. Today I stepped out again I went with number 1 son to Birmingham to the fierce festival and did this The Divine Edgar and I went in here I so want to tell you about it, but I am not going to, all I want to say is if Fierce Festival bring it near to you, you must go and experience it for yourself, it is believe me an experience. I am glad I took the opportunity to be ‘buried alive’ I so want to tell, but I can’t it would spoilt it, all I can say is what I said there after the experience and that is WOW, full marks to all involved.
From there we went to the fete encounter, where we watched a bit of dancing, a picnic and listened to a bit of singing, number 1 who wasn’t going to get involved, got involved. I found it so funny; we got accosted by a man who started off by asking us what had brought us to the festival, then started going on about how he and his girlfriend where part of a folk dancing group and the arguments they have about how a dance should be performed, then he asked number 1 to intrepid what he had said about what had brought him to the festival so that he could put it in his dance. Number 1 has a very dry sense of humour and said ‘I have been while I have been talking to you.’ So the man stood still and said ‘like this’ to which number 1 said ‘I was looking up a bit’
(Ok it was a you had to be there moment)

Then to the slug and lettuce for a drink
Then it was on to this B1 LabyrinthsBearing in mind that I have never ridden a bike, I had a three wheeler, and I must say enjoyed every minute of it, I was doing so well right up until the end when I ran it into someone’s front door step, but I honestly didn’t see the step, (I now want a three wheeled bike). This ride around town was also an experience I would not have missed, and a big thank you to the little girl who gave me a push to get me started up the hills, ‘Thank you little one’.
I really enjoyed my day out, a big thank you to all involved with the Fierce festival and long may you continue.
*out of comfort zone
Body surfing in Oz, gave up after the third time of being dragged along the seabed.
Going up in a balloon to see the sunrise, also in Oz
Sand surfing, its bloody fast, Oz again
A dog sleigh ride also very fast, not Oz, somewhere in the Artic, we went to see Santa about 3 years ago, yes he is real I had a hug off him, I have the photo to prove it!
And more just can’t think of them at the moment,
(I’ve had a glass or two of wine)
Be Happy

But it was fun and you have to admit it’s not something you get to do everyday.

I think you were very brave to be ‘buried alive’. Just the thought – even if it wasn’t ‘real’ – terrifies me.

[...] I have just found out, well not just this minute but not to long ago that there is no Fierce Festival this year. That’s a bit of a disappointment, I only found out about it last year and participated [...]
